Campfires –
We have 3 campfire areas for your enjoyment. One campfire ring sits in the heart of camp, close to the main kitchen, and is perfect for cookouts and s'mores. The second sits atop Tipi Hill and features a campfire ring and benches nestled into a clearing in the woods. The third campfire ring sits on Bench Hill and is much more open to see the horizon. Whether roasting marshmallows, singing around the fire, or star gazing on a clear night, campfires at Lost Timber are like none other on Earth.
Waterfront –
A hike up and over Bench Hill brings you to our spring-fed swimming pond. This is a small private pond providing security and privacy for you and your program. The pond features a 500sq ft sand beach with a dock on either side and buoys between that mark off the shallow area. A sturdy floating raft is located beyond the buoys in deeper water. The swimming pond reaches to depths of 15 feet in some areas. To swim at the beach, a lifeguard is required. Lost Timber will assist you in hiring a lifeguard if needed. Please inform us of lifeguard request when discussing your rental needs.
Fishing -
The swimming pond is also home to crappies, perch, and sunfish making this an exciting little pond to fish. When the weather is right, you can't keep the fish off your line. Providing fun for young and old anglers alike, you can fish from the docks or around the shoreline. Lost Timber does not provide fishing poles, tackle, or licenses so bring your own if you want to take part in this activity.
Hiking Trails –
Lost Timber's hills are covered with mature Oak trees and with maintained hiking trails that take you through some of the most beautiful parts of the camp. Keep your eyes open and you might see deer, turkey, pheasant, owls and other wildlife.
Wooded Hills –
Lost Timber is nestled into the middle of 175 acres of the some of the most densely wooded hills in Southwest Minnesota. This environment is awesome for capture the flag, paintball and other games.
