THINGS TO DO

The Hills

Lost Timber is nestled into a deep, secluded ravine on the Buffalo Ridge. The densely-wooded hills surrounding Lost Timber are perfect for hikes, scavenger hunts, and games like capture the flag.

Adjacent to our property is another similar ravine with more of the same wooded hill. This property is open to the public and can be used by your group for additional hiking and exploration.

Two Multi-Purpose Playing Fields

You can use these spaces for a wide variety of sports, games, and activities. The favorites around here include: softball, soccer, dodge ball, ultimate frisbee, cricket, and tchoukeball. Ask us and we'll set up any of these activities for you. And we'll even teach you how to play tchoukeball, you'll love it!

In addition to these games, these two fields are great for relays, water games, or any other activity that requires space.

Summer & Fall Activities

Campfire Rings

You can't have camp without the campfires! We have a variety of spaces on our property designated for campfires and we are sure one of them will fit your needs. Whether you want a campfire cookout for a large group in the middle of camp, or if you are looking for an intimate campfire in the woods, we have plenty of options. We'll even work with you to have a campfire on the beach if that's what you're going for!

Lost Timber Beach

Just a short hike up and over Bench Hill brings you to our semi-private pond. There you'll find a nice, sandy beach, two docks, a swim raft, a picnic shelter, and a nice shady area perfect for hammocks.

Our pond was stocked in 2024 with Yellow Perch and Black Crappy, guests are welcome to fish but must follow all applicable laws. Our pond is currently Catch and Release only to allow for the fish population to get established after restocking.

Camp Central

This is where all the action happens! Not really, but it's an awesome space with a wide variety of activities in close proximity. We have volleyball, basketball, 9-square, gaga ball, a kids playset, a slingshot range, and ax throwing. There is also space to set up yard games like cornhole, spike ball, and ladder golf.

Right in the middle of it all is a covered picnic shelter and a campfire ring perfect for hanging out and having snacks.

Lost Timber is the perfect escape for your next group retreat and we have activities for groups of all ages. When you stay with us, you have complete freedom to plan your event to best fit your groups needs, interests, and goals, but if you are looking for some ideas we've listed a few below.

Boardgames & Hangouts

Our dining hall is the perfect place to set up for an afternoon of boardgames and our multiple fireplaces make for a great atmosphere to hangout with friends and a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. We also have a heated rec room with carpet ball, foosball, and ping-pong.

Winter Hiking & Snowshoeing

Our 175 acres of land are transformed and become almost unrecognizable from the summer months. This makes it a great place for winter hikes and snowshoeing. If you are looking for more terrain to cover, the neighboring property is open to the public and offers even more scenic landscape.

Winter Activities

Broomball

We create a broomball rink in the middle of camp central right next to the dining hall. The rink is perfect for 6 on 6 games and is lit to allow the fun to run late into the night.

Broomball availability is dependent on cold temps.

Movie Nights

Our meeting room features a large TV, high end audio, and comfortable seating which makes for the perfect place to watch a movie. We'll even pop fresh popcorn for your movie night.

Sledding & Tubing

Our hills make for some epic sledding and tubing runs. We have one short but steep tubing run right in camp central but any hill has the potential for an adrenaline pumping run.

Campfires

Tucked deep in a valley often offers great protection from the cold winter winds. If you are lucky enough to enjoy a mild evening, there is nothing better than a winter campfire. We have two campfire rings just steps from the warmth of the dining hall.
