HAVE FUN  |  MAKE FRIENDS  |  GROW FAITH

At Lost Timber, we are passionate about building relationships and helping campers grow in their faith. We are much more than just a safe and affordable place to have fun with friends. We are committed to building relationships with our campers so we can share with them the love of Christ and, more importantly, SHOW them the love of Christ. Whether at the beach, on the ball field, or in the chapel, campers are encouraged, cared for, and loved by our dedicated staff. We hope that our love and excitement for Jesus rubs off on everyone who visits us at Lost Timber. Of course we have a lot of fun and create some unforgettable memories at camp but it's our commitment to building relationships and discipling campers that keep them coming back.

Lost Timber Bible Camp started in 1973, and held it's first summer camp session in 1974.  We are a non-profit corporation  the goes by the official business name Chanarambie (Chan-a-ram-bie) Christian Camps. The word Chanarambie means "hidden woods" in the Dakota language. The Dakota used the term to describe the geographic area where Lost Timber sits today. We discovered early on that Chanarambie was not an easy word to say or write and so the camp assigned the name Lost Timber Bible Camp (a legal DBA) to the non-profit organization.

Lost Timber is a non-denominational ministry and we welcome campers from all denominations and religious backgrounds. Our summer camps and retreats are at the heart of our existence offering fun-filled faith adventures for young people 8-19 years of age.

Lost Timber Bible Camp is a God-centered and God-dependent camp. Sharing God's love is our focus, our purpose and our entire reason for being here. Our primary way of sharing the love of God is through relationships. The chapel speakers are powerful, but it's the solid friendships built at camp that allow people to open up and hear God speaking to them. It's these relationships that campers remember most about their Lost Timber experience.

Lost Timber has three primary sources of funding:

Camper registration fees cover the cost of our summer programs. We work hard to maintain very low camper fees so that kids can experience summer camp and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ regardless of their families financial situation.

Individual, church, and business donations along with guest group fees help ensure we can "keep the lights on" during the offseason and make the necessary repairs. These funds also are used for capital improvements of our programs and facilities.
