WHAT TO EXPECT

Every business or organization operates a little differently and camps are no exception. Although Christian camps all have the same goal, the ways they go about it are completely unique to their program and facilities. Here is what you can expect when you show up at Lost Timber Bible Camp.

Grounds
Lost Timber Bible Camp is nestled into a large valley surrounded by 175 acres of wooded hills. This makes for a great intimate setting without the distractions of everyday life.

Facilities
Our camp grounds were originally an agricultural farm. Although a lot of renovation has happened over the years, you will be able to recognize the rural architecture on some of our buildings. We continue to modify and improve our facilities to meet our needs and the needs of our guest groups.

Cabins
Our cabins are made up of rooms consisting of bunk beds. Cabins have indoor restroom and shower facilities. All cabins are outfitted with air conditioning and most also have heat.

Cabin Groups
Our cabin groups are kept small intentionally to foster friendships and generate meaningful moments. Campers are given the opportunity to choose a friend or two that they would like to bunk with, otherwise, they will be placed in a cabin based on their grade.

Cabin Time
A great time for Cabin Leaders to organize an activity for their cabin. Some of the favorites are hiking through the woods, the ax throwing and slingshot range, and fishing.

Activities
Our activities are designed to create a memorable experience but also to encourage friendships. Some activities include: traditional sports, unusual games, adventure games, capture the flag, campfires, swimming, cabin time and free time.

Swimming
We have a small, private pond on our property that we swim in. Swimming is a scheduled group activity. During this time campers can swim, fish, kayak, paddle board, paddle boat, or one of many other games. If a camper does not wish to swim that's OK, there are plenty of things for them to do!

Chapel
Our camp programs include two chapel sessions each day. During this time, campers participate in awesome praise and worship and sound Bible teaching. Our speakers are hand selected to teach a specific age of campers so you can be sure they will understand and benefit from what is talked about in chapel. Following chapel, we often have a quick debrief moment where campers can discuss what they learned in chapel and ask questions about things they didn't understand. This helps fortify the faith lessons our speakers are teaching in the camper's minds and hearts.

Group Discussion
The older camps participate in a discussion group each day where we discuss topics relevant to their lives in an interactive setting.

P-TOW (Personal Time of Worship)

This is a short period of time where campers can spend time doing personal devotions. We know one week won't create a habit of devotions for campers but we hope it'll be a jumpstart to a long-lasting habit of connecting with their creator. P-TOW does not typically happen during Trailblazer weeks.

Free Time
Every camp has opportunities for campers to hang out and do what they want to do. Common activities include hiking, basketball, volleyball, carpet ball, 9-Square in the Air, Gaga Ball, ax throwing, slingshots, hanging out in hammocks.

Rest Time
The younger camps have a rest time so we can make sure they stay healthy and energized for the next activity. Rest time is not built into the older camps, as much as we'd all enjoy it.

Meals
We are proud to say we have the best camp meals! All of our meals are homemade and delicious. Some of the camper favorites include hamburgers, pizza, smoked pulled pork, pancakes, and Monkey Bread. Menus are age-specific and meals are served buffet style. We are happy to accommodate health-related dietary restrictions and every meal has plenty of options for the picky-eaters. Campers can choose to sit in cabin groups or friend groups during meal times.
